Water Safety

On Wednesday we learnt about how to get into a boat and get out of a boat safely. We know that we have to look behind us to check the water is clear before falling in and to keep the boat balanced.

It is very, very important that we wear a life jacket that fits us properly because we could slip out of one that is too big.

Flight to Nelson

One of our role play activities for Action Stations is an airport/flight station. Jacqui had her bag checked by security, flight announced, and off they flew on a rather bumpy flight I believe, the food trolley was well stocked so she had a large selection of food and beverages which was very good.

Jacqui's credit card was returned promptly and they even got her wallet out of her bag for her to return it to.

Swimming Lessons have started

Our first lesson at swimming was fantastic, I am so impressed with the children and their swimming abilities. A few pool side snaps

Multiplication - Angry Ants

We read a story about 100 Angry Ants and how they tried to get to the picnic faster.
They started in a line of 100 ants

Then went to 2 lines of ____

Changed again to 4 lines of ____

Then again to 5 lines of ____

Finally they tried 10 lines of ____

Sadly when they made it to the picnic there was no food left!

Book Week

What a great week we had, teachers came in to read to us, a book quiz in the hall with Harakeke team and a dress up day and parade.

Tuatara Rock rock's T-Ball

This term we have been lucky to be be having T Ball lessons each Wednesday. Our throwing, catching and pitching has been improving so much and it's a lot of fun.
