On Monday we worked with our maths mates to count on from the biggest number using a number line. We helped each other by talking through what we were doing and what came next. We started with a story problem and found the numbers in the story and the words that gave us clues about what to do.

Don't do your jumps too big or you run out of room.
Number lines are another great strategy that can help to work out tricky problems. Isn't it great to have so many different ways to work things out?
